Windsurf Race Clinics @ Calcup - ages 9-16, some windsurf ability required Join the fun in introductory windsurf race clinics. Remaining dates for 2008: St. Francis Yacht Club Fall Junior Sailing Events: Fall Opti Sundays September 21,28 Cost is $200 for members and $250 for non-members Instructors: Rusty Morgan, Katie Maxim and Mike Kalin Junior Sailing Open House Have Sunday brunch at the club. Meet the Junior Coaches, Rusty Morgan and Mike Kalin and Junior Committee Chair Dr. Paul Heineken. Tour the facility and learn more about our programs. September 7th. 11am - 1PM. Learn to Windsurf Saturdays- ages 9-16, no experience necessary. Meet at the Junior Room at 9am and we’ll wrap up by noon. Bring a lifejacket and booties. We can provide a wetsuit. The club owns eight Bic Techno 293 - the ISAF official youth board. The board is stable and has sufficient volume to get you started, but has footstraps and a retractable centerboard for high wind performance. Sail sizes range from 2.5 square meters to 6.0 square meters. The first few classes will take place on “the beach” to the east of the Golden Gate YC (but meeting at the junior room first). Dates: Cost: $125 High School Fall Sailing The Bay School and Waldorf School of San Francisco are the two primary tenants in our high school sailing program. Preparing for local “one day” competitions (Norcals) will be the focus for newcomers. Advanced racers will turn their attention to the PCISA schedule: a series of two-day events that are highly competitive. The Fall practice season wraps up November 6th. Newcomers are welcome!
