Report From US500

Hi All:

We had a Nor Cal sailor, Lynn Olinger, join us for our race this day. Its always a pleasure to have an out of town racer partake in our races and she was no exception, hope you join us again Lynn.

The wind gods gave us a nice wind day, it started out on the first race with 8-11kts and the guys on the 12.0 and 12.5, Gabor, Peter and Mr. TR3 Lasse, were well powered and very happy. Joe was the rabbit and never quite got in the game as he was on a 11.0 and praying to the wind gods for more power.

Gabor won this race nicely. The second race featured a little more wind and almost everybody was happy, except Gabor who couldn't quite recover from the rabbit tack and took a third behind Peter (1) and Joe (2). Now we took a short break and the wind built up to a very nice 14-18kts, as expected by the fleet meteorologist WG, for the next two races and some of the bigger sails were getting an little overpowered. The third race when to Joe and so did the fourth with Gabor taking two seconds and Peter two thirds.

Thanks to all who attended, sail fast and see you next time

Joe

Ps: I've included the Pier J wind graph as this better represents the wind at the weather mark.
