RACE COMMITTEE REPORT

It was touch and go as to whether we would have the CalCup boat ready for racing after the old engine ‘died’ on Tuesday. Mike spent three full days putting in a brand new engine, and it was not until we tested it at Emeryville late on Tuesday afternoon that we knew that we had a boat that was working!

Bill Hansen gave us an amazing clinic on sails, which we hope that you all enjoyed.

We only managed to get four races off, as the wind became rather light, and as racers were having an interesting time getting around the course in such light conditions for their sail sizes, we decided to call it a day at the end of race four. Marley and I were joined by Jason, Danielle, and Emmett for race committee, and we would like to thank them for doing such a great job. .
