We managed 6 out of 10 races. The wind was extra strong to nothing. Holes all through the course. This was a fun race to score...bobbing up and down...then sailors practicing but crossing the finish lines many times. -Jane Morson

Big Kuddos to Jane for enduring a wet and bumpy race commitee last night in Berkeley for the slalom races.
We finnaly managed to get a few races off. It really looked like there was alot of wind when I arrived at 4:45 and found Steve S and Dave Hopp coming in on their formula gear and 9.0s wound up. I rigged the 6.4 and waited but it was dying so I rigged the 7.6 instead while a few more people showed up. Ben, Vlad, Soheil, Mac and a few others CSC sailors were on the line for the first start while a few others were still struggling to get out to the wind line.
The wind was either all the way on or completly off. Ben, Vlad and I were switching it up in the front while some others got stuck with no with no wind on the other legs. We all managed to fall at least once on the gybes, including myself, getting caught in the
anchor line of the last mark, not once, not twice, but 3x.
As usual, you could never count yourself out as you could count a personal puff coming down from the gods above to punch you into the lead or just as easily shut you down completley, trying to waterstart in 2k of wind.
We did get 6 races off but only the first 2 were fully planing around the course. Anyways it was good fun and better than being in the office!
